On the afternoon of October 26, the School of Oceanography held an equipment donation ceremony in the Academic Lecture Hall at Mengxi Campus. Zhou Yiming, General Manager of Suzhou Acoustic Origin Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., Wang Biao, Vice Dean of the School of Oceanography, Bu Jiangchun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, along with representatives of teachers and students, attended the event. The donation ceremony was presided over by Bu Jiangchun.
Vice Dean Wang Biao extended a warm welcome to General Manager Zhou Yiming and provided a brief introduction to the school, covering its development history, discipline construction, talent cultivation, and scientific research. He stated that the latest-generation underwater acoustic transducer products, valued at 500,000 yuan and donated by Suzhou Acoustic Origin Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., would further enhance the construction and scientific research of the school's Underwater Acoustic Engineering program. The school would cherish and make optimal use of the equipment to cultivate more outstanding talents for the industry. General Manager Zhou Yiming introduced the research and development as well as industrialization of domestically produced commercial sonar underwater acoustic transducers. He emphasized that the customized underwater acoustic transducers laid a crucial foundation for sonar development and expressed hope for strengthened collaboration between the school and the enterprise to jointly make significant contributions to China's sonar industry.
